The Making
Silk
As a naturally ‘intelligent’ material, silk does much more than lend a beautiful sheen to a Palmér’s surface.
When it gets humid, silk fibres respond by drawing away up to 30% of its own weight in moisture. This same moisture-wicking ability helps silk release electrical charges: it won’t cling or crackle like synthetic cloth. Cool, dry, and irresistibly smooth — that’s Palmér’s silken mattress top.
Latex
Rubber trees only thrive in tropical climates, and Malaysia is home to some of the world’s finest natural latex. Palmér’s latex is only sourced from the country’s oldest plantation estates in Kajang and Klang, Selangor.
Naturally buoyant and consistent, fine latex of Palmér’s caliber can stretch several times its original length and bounce back perfectly. Quality latex also has a *triple* resistance — it naturally prevents microbes, dust mites, and mould. No chemical treatments needed.

Each spring is carefully wound to a calculated tension, and heat-tempered to hold its memory of bounce. The spring is then sealed in its own fabric pocket for sound isolation and less friction— no two springs will ever touch.

Each batch begins with the cream time, when a careful combination of dry and wet ingredients react to form millions of tiny bubbles. This helps the mixture expand into a certain size and body.
Next comes the gel time, when the foam settles and solidifies to lock in a distinctive texture and feel. Our foam bakers have mastered these fleeting, foam-defining moments to create a uniquely Palmérian texture that’s consistent, refined, and alive.
